FULL TOUR DESCRIPTION:

We will meet by the Hungarian State Opera where we will give you a small summary about what we are going to see in Budapest on the walking tour.

First we will visit the State Opera House on Andrássy avenue, which is considered to be the Paris of the East, with its magnificent buildings and architectural masterpieces.

Then we will have a look at the St. Stephen’s Basilica from the outside. It has a really important relic inside, the mummified right fist of our first king Stephen. After visiting Budapest’s biggest catholic church, we head out to the Academy of Sciences, to the Széchenyi Square. Enjoy the panorama of the Buda side and also we will talk about the greatest Hungarian: Széchenyi, what the Széchenyi thermal bath was named after.

After that our tour continues to the cobble stone covered medieval  castle village and the Buda Castle itself. Having seen the Royal Palace, we will take an optional coffee break and visit the Fisherman’s Bastion next to the Matthias Church. Here you can get immersed in the fascinating view over the Pest side, where also our tour will finish.
